WHAT IS CADILLAC RANCH? A new play premiered at the Soho Theatre as part of their preview season - to celebrate the opening of their new premises. Adam played Chris - one of three American students. The plot concerns their drive across the U.S. to visit a famous US landmark called the Cadillac Ranch (see picture above and link below) in an attempt to answer questions about art, sexuality and cowboys. The Soho Theatre has only 200 seats and tickets for all five nights and the added special Saturday Matinee sold out completely
Evening Standard - 28th March "The third in the Soho Theatre Company's ambitious project to cram four plays into as many weeks, Cadillac Ranch is a theatrical take on a road movie by American playwright Martha Emmitt, directed by Roxanna Silbert. Adorable Adam Garcia, who last strutted his stuff as Tony Manero (the John Travolta part) in Saturday Night Fever, stars as a student, masquerading as a cowboy, who embarks on a life changing drive across America with two companions." Daily Mail - 17th March "Adam Garcia ,who was a hit in SNF on stage flies in from Los Angeles to begin rehearsals next week on a new play by Marta Emmitt. Called Cadillac Ranch, it opens at the splendid new Soho theatre in London's West End on March 28 for a short run. It's about three men and one girl on a road trip and deals (among other things) with sexual jealousy. Garcia is doing post-production on a new film called Coyote Ugly." |
