And they all lived happily ever after.
Back at the bar, it's another raucous night. The people are packed inside, and there are signs hanging that say "Congratulations Jersey!" (Her song, "Don't Fight the Moonlight" continues to play.)
Lil: (on the bullhorn) Okay, let's give a big coyote welcome to LeAnn Rimes!
[LeAnn Rimes herself stands atop the bar, belting out Vi's song, with the crowd hollering and cheering below. The camera finds Vi and Kev standing together.]
Kev: So tell me, what do you do when you realize that all of your dreams have come true?
Vi: You pay off old debts! (LeAnn continues to sing, and Vi pulls out a copy of Kevin's prized comic book) Volume One-Twenty-Nine of the original appearance of Punisher! It's the one I cost you…
Kev: (genuinely touched, he smiles) Thank you!
Camera cuts back to LeAnn singing, then to Rachel "the bitch" who is watching a new coyote fumble and break a booze bottle.
Rac: Lil, I don't think your new girl is gonna hack it! (She catches Vi's eye, and they smile warmly at each other, for it wasn't so long ago that Vi was in the same situation.)
LeAnn is still singing, but the crowd starts to chant, "Jer-Sey, JER-SEY!" and LeAnn pulls Violet up on the bar and they finish the last lines of the song "Can't Fight the Moonlight" as a duet. The crowd cheers wildly.
Strains of the song, "Need You Tonight" by INXS come on from the jukebox. This is the same song that Kevin performed his striptease to during his first visit to Coyote Ugly. Violet picks up the bullhorn.
Vi: Okay, in true coyote tradition, I'm gonna make every woman's night and auction off the most handsome little hottie in the place!
Kev: (standing below her, at the bar's edge) Violet, come on, you can't do this to me again!
Vi: Here he is girls…(she motions to her father, dressed in a loud Hawaiian beach shirt and shorts) Come on, Dad!
(He climbs on the bar, and immediately strikes a Tony Manero pose, with finger in the air-trust me, it does NOT have the same effect as when Adam/Kevin did it!) Okay ladies, the bidding will start at $25!
[Dad is embarrassed at first, but quickly adapts to the women screaming out their bids. ]
Dad: What're you getting me into, Violet?! (Bids continue)
Vi: You said you wanted a more active social life! (she turns to the crowd, while making a sweeping gesture up and down her Dad's body) Come on girls, there's a lot of miles left on these tires! (bids continues, a woman yells "$50!") Come on, Dad, strut your stuff! (he does)
One of the women yell, "Take..take some of it off!" And Dad turns and lowers the back of his shorts a bit. The dancing continues. She yells back, "Okay, put some of it on!" More hoots and hollers-and bids-from the ladies. Dad's girlfriend, a nurse he met while in the hospital, bids $150 and he yells "SOLD!"
Dad: (Still dancing up on the bar, where the other coyotes and Kevin have joined him) HEY! I'M A COYOTE!
Kev: (turning to Vi) Well, your father has no problem with stage fright…
[More hoots and hollers from the coyotes on stage and the crowd below]
Vi: (smiling broadly) So tell me…what do you do when you realize all your dreams have come true?
Kevin smiles and draws her close, then kisses her slowly and sweetly, and the frame freezes on their kiss, and fades to black while the credits roll, and the song "Please Remember" plays. Credits continue rolling (NO dance double for our Adam!) and the song changes to "The Right Kind of Wrong" and then to "But I Do Love You."
