Turkish Diner for Breakfast/Kev’s Passion Revealed.
Kevin and Vi have just left Coyote Ugly where he delivered the line about wanting breakfast. This next scene is in a Turkish diner. (For breakfast? Yuck!)
Kev: Ever eaten Turkish?
Vi: Uh-uh.
Kev: This is the place!
[He walks in to this seedy diner, obviously a regular. He greets other customers and the help. He walks up to the counter, where a guy hands him a brown paper bag and says “Here it is man, flown in from Maine…check out the merchandise!” Kevin says, “nah, I trust ya” and slides a wad of bills over the counter. Vi looks worried and a little suspicious. Bag in hand, Kevin walks back to Vi.]
Vi: Look, uh, I don’t know what you’re into…but--
Kev: (reaching into the bag and taking out a comic book) The Amazing Spider Man Number One-Two-Nine in mint condition—worth a thousand bucks!
Vi: A comic book.
Kev: No, it’s not just a comic book, this is the first appearance of The Punisher—this is the Holy Grail of comic books!
Vi: You collect comic books?
Kev: Yes.
Vi: It’s so cute.
Kev: Cute?! It’s very rugged and manly…just a bit cute, eh?
Vi: I think it’s sweet…
[The next scene is the two of them eating breakfast on the car bonnet, with the bridge in the background, and the cityscape beyond the bridge.]
