When Adam was in Saturday Night Fever one of my favourite jokes was to surprise him in the middle of an autograph signing session at the Stage Door by sneaking up and handing him something unusual to sign amongst the programmes and brochures. He's usual reaction would be to laugh and then go "Where the ...... do you get these things."

These ranged from a picture of him in the School football team at which point he stopped and started writing all his team mates names on the picture to the exclusive pictures of him receiving the Spectacle Wearer of the Year Award - the day after the ceremony and before they'd seen the light of day anywhere else.

The challenge was on to surprise him with something during his week in Cadillac. After a couple of days of delicate negotiations with photographers, PR's and the theatre I managed to get permission to run the pictures of Adam in costume as Chris.

So it had to be done - he came downstairs on the Friday - did his usual "Hi girls routine" and then I asked him for his autograph - which these days is fairly unusual in itself. The picture to the right shows his reaction as I handed over the pen and the exclusive shot of him and Shauna. "How???" "Adam you've been here a week mate - you would have been disappointed if I hadn't". He then took the pen and wrote "How do you do it" on the top before signing it below. (see below right)
